In my opinion I always felt that if I could post another women and mention why she is my Women Crush Wednesday that I should be able to do the same for myself. That little saying “That before you can love anyone else you should be able to love yourself” explains why I feel the way I do. I remember having a conversation with one of my female friends and her mentioning that she hates Women Crush Wednesday because she has never been anyone’s #WCW. I told her “well why can’t you be your own #WCW, who better to love you than yourself.” She agreed but insisted it wasn’t the same. And I agree it isn’t the same, because as Queens we want to be love and appreciated. But being able to love yourself first, is way more important.
