Day 6 & 7!

On day 6, we went to the Mobil clinic in Cap-Rouge called Klinic Mobil Manman Angela( Felician Sisters of North America) , an hour away from Jacmel. We aided the members of the Mobil clinic with whatever we could. You’ll see in some of the photos; Anthony taking patients weight and Desiire working in the pharmacy and me taking down patient information. We saw 78 patients that day, in a near by church in Cap-Rouge, the priest was kind enough to let us in his home as well as his church, making the Mobil clinic possible. Most of the patients I spoke with had never seen a doctor a day in their life. Fifty-year old men, sixty-year old women, babies , children never seen a doctor! Isn’t that mind-blowing. They manage to survive even without the medical care that all people should receive in my opinion. Being apart of the clinic was one of my most memorable moments in Haiti, to be directly involved in a real life crisis and also be apart of the solution, was a blessing in itself. It may not seem like a lot compared to reparations needed for the health care system in Haiti, but it’s a start and I’m more then grateful I was apart of it. We have all (Anthony, Desire,Marie and I) built strong relationship with the students. You can see the photos of  us teaching as well as hanging out with the students, who I really miss!
